We're building the ears of African media intelligence
In a continent where radio is king, brands deserve to know exactly what's being said about them on air. We're using AI and custom hardware to make that possible.
Make radio measurable, transparent, and data-driven across Africa
Radio reaches over 800 million people across Africa. Yet for advertisers, it remains one of the least measurable media channels. AfriTracker exists to change that — bringing the same level of data and accountability to radio that digital channels have enjoyed for years.

Expansion roadmap
From idea to infrastructure
The journey of building radio intelligence for Africa.
The Problem
Discovered that brands in Rwanda had no reliable way to verify their radio ad placements. Monitoring was manual, incomplete, and expensive.
First Prototype
Built the initial system using internet streams and Whisper transcription. Proved that AI could detect brand mentions in Kinyarwanda broadcasts.
SDR Infrastructure
Deployed Software-Defined Radio hardware to capture FM signals directly, solving the internet reliability problem and achieving full station coverage.
Scaling Up
Launched the full platform with 20+ stations, jingle fingerprinting, and real-time analytics. Onboarding brands and agencies across Rwanda.
What drives us
The principles that guide every decision we make.
Africa-First Engineering
We build for the realities of African markets — unreliable internet, local languages, FM-dominant media landscapes. Our tech is designed here, for here.
Real-Time by Default
Every feature is built for speed. From signal capture to alert delivery, we optimize for the shortest path between "it happened on air" and "you know about it."
Radical Transparency
Every detection comes with an audio clip. We don't ask you to trust our algorithms blindly — we give you the evidence to verify for yourself.
Built to Scale Across Africa
Our architecture is designed for continental scale. What works for 20 stations in Rwanda will work for 200 stations across 10 countries.
